Description:
ELOFIT is a system of high-density polyethylene fittings for electrofusion and special components designed for transporting pressurized water and, more generally, pressurized fluids.
ELOFIT high-density polyethylene fittings primarily use electrofusion technology and methods for joining.
This welding process involves electric resistors housed within the electrofusion fittings, connected externally by two terminals. By connecting a welding machine capable of supplying energy to the fitting at both ends of the resistor, a specific tension is created over a set period.
The resistor converts the electrical current into heat, causing the polyethylene of the pipe and the fitting to fuse into a monolithic system.
Once cooled, this results in a homogeneous, strong, safe, and reliable connection.
